It sure is nice to dream of the clothes that you want whilst your purse sits pretty, collecting dust – broke girl summer! No, but seriously. It is nice to just orchestrate some outfits in your head, and hope that you’ll actually get to where them one day.
PSA – I must stress that I live in England, which means that it rains… A LOT. We also only got a few days of sun, but even then we couldn’t be too sure as it was usually followed by the sky completely chucking it down, and we can’t forget the thunder that one night… ANYWHO – expect some of the following items to be jeans, jumpers and so on even though it’s ‘summer’ – cos there’s always that slight possibility.
1. PAPER BAG TROUSERS
I LOVE the look of paper bag trousers! They can really be styled up or down, and create either a professional, work-place type of look or one that’s laid back and casual. I really like the grey checkered ones above from Lasula, and they go well with the rest of the outfit. Personally, I’d style them with a white cropped top, perhaps off the shoulder and maybe some detailing down the centre. Or even a tight, long-sleeved top and just tuck them into the trousers.
Lasula has LOADS of other paper bag styled items – shorts, trousers, skirts, leggings and so on – so if you too like them, definitely check out their website!
2. BODYCON DRESSES
Tight-fitted close are a must for me, so bodycon-styled dresses are a personal favourite. I’ve got a burnt orange one currently, and although it fits nicely and shows off my figure, it’s just not my colour (considering that I actually ordered bright RED – screw you boohoo) and it’s very transparent which is a deffo no-no… #VPLfordays.
The bodycon dress from Lasula above is right up my street though; the colour, plain white works perfectly with all of my other basic bitch attire. It’s pretty cheap too, so I’m not complaining AT ALL!
3. BARDOT CROP TOP
I’ve seen bardot tops floating around on my Instagram timeline for a while now, and I really like how they off a lil’ shoulder, but don’t leave you feeling completely bare – ‘nipples to the wind’ as Patricia Bright would say (love her!). I think a bardot-styled top would go nicely with the paper bag trousers further up – not this particular one from I Saw It First though, as frills on frills may be too much.
4. PERSONALISED NECKLACE
I’m ‘um-ing’ and ‘ah-ing’ about these necklaces. Not being funny, but I don’t want every Jack and Jill on the street to know my name – stranger danger. However, they’re a really cute accessory to add to your outfit! My, my, my though… the ones I’ve seen a bit pricey, but that all depends on what type of one that you want, and where you get it from.
5. CAT EYE SUNGLASSES
These red cat-eye glasses from PrettyLittleThing are so gorgeous! I love that shady ‘I got the tea’ look that they create, but because they’re so extra – they’re very outfit-specific. I don’t even suit glasses, that’s what hurts the most – I really wanna stunt in these. PrettyLittleThing have got LOADS of different styled sunglasses on their website – so if you’re in search of a pair, go and pay them a visit!
6. NIKE 97’S
I’ve wanted these exact Nike 97’s for a good while, but I already know my ass ain’t no closer to getting them. I mean, seriously? £145? They’re nice and I feel like they can go with mostly any outfit too (jeans, skirts, dresses etc.), but they’re not that nice – that’s some BIG boy guap.
7. RIPPED SKINNY JEANS
As I said earlier, tight-fitted clothes are a must for me – especially when it comes to my jeans. Bigger, more flary jeans just aren’t for me, as I feel like they accentuate my skinny legs. Of course, skinny jeans do the same, but they hug the right places – so it’s all gucci. These ripped jeans from PrettyLittleThing are super cute, and I especially like the frayed detailing on the ankles.
8. FUNNEL NECK SWEATSHIRT
Obviously you’d wear this on a day where it’s not blazing down, and perhaps is slightly breezy – but I think this grey funnel neck sweatshirt from Lasula looks cosy and, if worn on a warm day, would go well with a simple skirt like the one above.
9. BUM BAGS / SHOULDER BAGS
I hate having to carry around a massive bag that only contains my phone and money – and it’s even worse in the hot weather. With bum bags, its a quick clip around your waist, and off you go about your day! This black chevron bum bag from PrettyLittleThing is a simple yet gives off a more sophisticated and pricier impression due to the chevron quilted pattern.
This is GORGEOUS. I love the black and gold – it always works perfectly, and it really gives off the impression that it’s more expensive than it truly is! It also goes really well with the yellow dress in the photo too surprisingly, as I thought that and the gold detailing combined may have been a tad bit too much. PrettyLittleThing are certainly winning.
10. SLIDES
You really can’t go wrong with a pair of slides. Who’s got time for laces, zips and all that other shoe-fuss, when you could just slip on your slides and go about your day? These slides from PrettyLittleThing are super cute – I love that metallic, shiny effect, and I feel like they’d go nicely with a pair of light-blue jeans and a plain top.
I hope you liked some of the items in my wishlist – what items are in yours for this summer?

As daft as it sounds I’d never thought about those necklaces telling the world my name and it being a little risky! Thanks for pointing that out! Seems pretty obvious now! 🤣🤦🏻♀️
